New “Safe Leave” Bill Introduced to Protect Victims of Domestic Violence

MP Alex McIntyre has introduced a private member’s bill to the House of Commons which will introduce “Safe Leave” for victims of domestic violence.

The bill currently proposes up to 10 days of paid leave to enable survivors of domestic abuse to deal with issues such as finding a place of safety, protecting family members, and attending police interviews or court hearings.
